Chris Giattina

Chris Giattina is a general partner and co-founder of Corporate Realty Development, a firm specializing in mixed-use urban renewal projects. Recently he lead the project team through the redevelopment of Jemison Flats, a successful adaptive re-use of three historic structures and new park in downtown Birmingham.

Chris is also a principal of Giattina Fisher Aycock Architects, a sixty person architectural firm in Birmingham that has won over fifty local state and national design awards for architectural excellence during his tenure. Chris is directly involved with a wide-range of project types including the recently completed Honda Training Facility, The Children's Hospital Research Center, The Alabama Veteran's Memorial, The First Commercial Bank Headquarters, The Birmingham Children's Zoo, Protective Life Corporate Headquarters, and the new Homewood Middle School.

Chris has been an adjunct professor in Auburn's School of Architecture teaching fourth-year design studio and Professional-Practice; he is a member of The American Institute of Architects and organized the group that is now called SADI, Sustainable Alabama Design Initiative. He is a member of the Society of International Business Fellows, has served on the NCARB Architectural Registration Exam committee, has judged design award competitions, and is frequently an academic jury critic at Auburn University, Mississippi State and Georgia Tech. Chris received his Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and his Bachelor of Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
