Barbara Bushnell has over 30 years of experience in the Birmingham market serving her well in her position as Executive Vice President Corporate Services & Client Development at Corporate Realty Associates, Inc. She is recognized as a specialist in the Birmingham office market and leverages relationships of a lifetime in the industry for Client Development.
Consistently a market leader in office lease transactions, Barbara has extensive experience in Class A office development and property management. Throughout her career, she has worked on almost every Class A office building in the Birmingham market.
In addition to her role at Corporate Realty, Barbara serves an elected position on the Board of Directors of CCIM Institute. As Presidential Liaison to the 2010 President, she was responsible for all education matters of the international organization. She is a past President of the Board of Directors for the Alabama CCIM Chapter as well. National exposure as a member of the CCIM facility cadre, and recipient of the Robert L. Ward “Instructor of the Year Award for 2010,” and the knowledge needed for that role allow her to provide assistance to the savviest corporate clients.
Barbara has held a number of volunteer leadership positions throughout the Birmingham community. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Charitable Real Estate Foundation of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham in 2009 and was elected its Vice Chair in 2010. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Norton Board of Advisors for Department of Business at Birmingham – Southern College.
Barbara also holds the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation issued by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and the Birmingham Chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).
